RAIN-O-MATIC 4-in-1 is a self-emptying and frostproof wireless electronic rain gauge which registers the rain fall on a digital LCD display placed indoors. The rain is running through the funnel of the rain collector into a self-emptying spoon which automatically tips and is emptied as soon as there is a certain quantity of water in the rain collector for which it has been adjusted. The spoon is fitted with a magnet being kept in position by an anchor implying that the spoon is emptied by a quick tip returning immediately to collecting position for collection of a new portion of water. After one millimeter of rain, the spoon will tip and empty, and the rain fall is shown on the indoor LCD display unit. The rain collector consists of 3 parts: funnel, box and base plate, which can easily be assembled and disassembled without tools. Funnel measurements are 5 x 10 cm, and the rain is registered with a resolution of 1 mm or 1/10 inch The collector is made of STYROSUN which is a very endurable and weatherproof material resisting the suns's UV radiation and extreme frost and heat temperatures. The world patented self-emptying tipping spoon automatics is unique and places the RAIN-O-MATIC 4-in-1 among the most accurate rain gauges. The measuring method is very accurate and has a maxium deviation of +/- 2%. The electronic wireless thermometer is constructed so that the temperature sensor for the indoor temperature is inside the panel and the outdoor temperature sensor also has LCD temperature read out. The wireless thermometer can measure the temperatures in Celcius and Fahrenheit. The electronic thermometer has a memory function for the highest and lowest registered temperatures during the measuring period. with an accuracy of +/- 1 C (+/- 1.8 F)

The rain fall is stored in 2 memories in the instrument. Consequently, it is possible to register the rain fall in a choosen short period, such as per day, week or month, and at the same time it is possible to read the total rain fall of the year. The indoor instrument can be hanged on a wall by means of the hole on the back of the instrument, or it can be placed standing by means of the flip-out stand on the rear. RAIN-O-MATIC 4-in-1 is ready for use with battery and screws for mounting of the rain collector.
